Embrace Unlimited Krishna Consciousness Bliss

Cast off all of your misery right now and embrace the unlimited bliss of Krishna consciousness. Why should you unnecessarily punish yourself for even a single moment longer? You are an eternal spiritual being qualitatively one with God. Therefore there is no need whatsoever for you to continue punishing yourself by misidentifying yourself with the rotting, aging bag of flesh, bones, stool, urine, and blood known as your material body. Throw away all of your unnecessary psychological baggage and celebrate your simply wonderful eternal, all-blissful identity as an intimate personal servant of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krishna.

Question: Is There Such a Thing as Spiritual Sense Gratification?

My Dear Gurudeva,
Please accept my humble pranam.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Your lecture series on the Nectar of Devotion at the New Vedic Cultural Center in Pune, India on 17,19, and 19 April was very enchanting. The Hare Krishna kirtan you led on the 18th evening after the lectures was sublime. I felt like I was floating in the ocean of devotion. On the 19th night a tinge of sadness was felt at the thought of not able to hear you in person from 20th onwards. But the thought that I can always meet you daily through your e_ course was encouraging.

My question is: Just like material sense gratification exists, does spiritual sense gratification also exist? If so, how to recognize spiritual sense gratification and pure love of Krishna?

Your humble servant,
Makarand

Answer: Engaging the Senses in Krishna's Service

Material sense gratification means to gratify the material senses by giving them whatever they want, such as unrestricted pleasures of the tongue and genitals. Such gratification is the doorway to hell. The poor material sense gratifier is miserable in this lifetime and is destined to become an animal in his next birth. On the other hand, spiritual sense gratification is something altogether different. Spiritual sense gratification means to engage your senses in the service of the master of the senses, Hrisikesa, Lord Sri Krishna. When you satisfy Krishna in this way your senses automatically become satisfied and peaceful, free from all agitation. Therefore those who are intelligent and properly educated shun material sense gratification and intensely absorb themselves eternally in spiritual sense gratification for the pleasure of their beloved Lord Sri Krishna.
