Bhagavad-gita, Chapter 6, Verse 7 offers a very profound insight as to how we can attain perfect peace of mind. Srila Prabhupada very much appreciated the hippie movement that was in America and Europe in the 60's and early 70's. Krishna's devotees manifest the most astouding qualities. In his book, The Teaching of Lord Kapila, Srila Prabhupada gives two examples of this: "Prahlāda Mahārāja, a five-year-old boy, had to undergo a great deal of suffering at the hands of his father, who was torturing him for being a devotee. By the association of devotees one gradually comes to understand that he or she is the eternal servant of Kṛṣṇa, and then one becomes very eager tospend as much time as possible in the company of the devotees. Birds of a feather flock together. The symptom of an enlightened servant of Kṛṣṇa is that he is eager for the company of other such great souls. Srila Prabhupada writes in his purport to Sri Caitanya Caritamrita, Adi Lila, Chapter 7, Text 83 as follows: "A sincere student aurally receives the holy name from the spiritual master, and after being initiated he follows the regulative principles given by the spiritual master. When the holy name is properly served in this way, automatically the spiritual nature of the holy name spreads; in other words, the devotee becomes qualified in offenselessly chanting the holy name. When one is completely fit to chant the holy name in this way, he is eligible to make disciples all over the world, and he actually becomes jagad-guru. Then the entire world, under his influence, begins to chant the holy names of the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra." We see clearly that Srila Prabhupada is such a jagad-guru, because even after his physical departure his influence is still spreading more and more all over the world through his books and through the preaching work of his disciples and grand disciles

Just consider that if your most intimate well-wishing friend is the most wealthy, compassionate, and powerful person in all of extistence, you would never have to be in any anxiety about anything in any situation. This is actually the position of all living beings because Lord Sri confirms in the Bhagavad-gita 5.29, "suhridam sarva-bhutanam--I am the most intimate well-wishing friend of all living beings." So the only reason that anyone finds themself to be in difficutly or anxiety is that they are forgetting that Krishna is their best friend.
