Don't Be Deluded by the Glitter of Material Existence

It is said, "All that glitters is not gold." In regards to this material existence this is super excellent advice. Superficially this material existence appears to be very wonderful. But by careful thoughtful analysis we can see that it is nothing more than a very attractive trap, which robs us of the actual happiness that we are meant to enjoy in the constant association of Lord Sri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, in His eternal, divine pastimes.

I am Hare Krishna Das. His Divine Grace Sriman Sankarshan Das Adhikari initiated me and gave me a new life on October 2009. Twenty years back, my mother gave me a copy of Bhagavad Gita As It Is. I was then 13 years old. I slowly started chanting and regularly reading Bhagavad Gita As It Is. Meantime, I got admission in a medical college and graduated as a medical doctor. But even after regularly chanting and reading books, I felt a vacuum. Something was missing. I understood from Srila Prabhupada's books that I needed a living person to properly guide me in self-realization. I have a very shy personality, so, I never ventured out to search for an ISKCON temple and go there. But, my intense desire to have a guide or mentor was increasing each day. So, I start praying to Krishna for proper guidance. On 2007, when I casually browsing Google, I typed "Krishna", then I noticed the Ultimate Self Realization Course. So I enrolled it. I consider that to be causeless mercy of Krishna. One day I asked a question, Sankarshan Prabhu answered me. I was thrilled. I had never seen such a person who has intense love for Krishna. That quality attracted me. He is speaking exactly from Srila Prabhupada's books. He is very merciful also. He gives us exact guidance. When I first heard one of his recorded lecture, something in my heart told me, "This is your spiritual master." Then in due course, I met him. Under his guidance, I associate with ISKCON devotees. The more I follow his instructions, the more I feel connected with Krishna. I understand that the love between a spiritual master and disciple is the sweetest relationship one can have. He mercifully initiated me ( even though, I have no good qualification). His mercy is my only qualification. I recommend everyone to give the Ultimate Self Realization course a serious try. I am 100% sure, this will bring unlimited happiness to everyone.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
