The World Religion

On 4 January 1972, when he was in Bombay, India, Srila Prabhupada wrote as follows to his disciple Krishna Bhamini devi dasi:

"If we introduce these books in all the bookstores, schools, colleges, libraries and everyone's home our religion will be the only religion in the world very soon. This prediction has been made publicly here in one newspaper, by a Japanese philosopher, that within ten years Krishna Consciousness will be the world religion. If you all keep preaching in such a pure way this will undoubtedly prove true."

Although it did not happen that by 1982 Krishna became the world religion, it is still possible that we can make Krishna consciousness the world religion. This can be accomplished if we purely follow Srila Prabhupada, purely preach his mission, and introduce his books everywhere. So let's do it. Let us now work co-operatively and bring the entire society to the platform of the world religion.

Question: Why Try to Make the World Krishna Conscious?

Namaste,

The teachings of Sri Prabhupada are very profound and enlightening. But why the urge to change entire world to Krishna consciousness? Many people are already following God in other names like Shiva, Jesus, Allah and all religions want the entire world to follow their path. Because of this we see so many conflicts.

I don't think a day will come when entire world will follow one religion.

Can I use a neutral name like God or use the mantra we are using in our home "om namah shivaya" instead of Krishna and get same results?

All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

There is already only one religion: to surrender to that Supreme Person with unlimited names (Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Rama, etc.) who is the source of all existence. This one religion can be called Krishna consciousness, Allah consciousness, Jehovah consciousness, etc. The more that the world population can embrace this one religion, the more the whole world will be peaceful and happy. Therefore out of compassion on the suffering souls of this world, those who are saintly dedicate their lives for awakening the entire human society to this one religion.

Kindly note that Shiva and Jesus are not names for the Supreme Person. Lord Shiva and Lord Jesus are both pure devotees of that Supreme Person. We worship them, not as God, but as pure devotees of Krishna or God.

I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. Who is this Krishna?

Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
