The Art of Dying Joyously

There is one thing that we all have to experience sooner or later, and that is death.
We prefer to block it out of our minds and pretend that it will never happen. But this is not very intelligent because we all know that that it IS going to happen. It is not a matter of "if." It is a matter of "when." If one understands that this human form of life is meant for one purpose only, to attain spiritual perfection and thus enter into the spiritual world, he can accept death joyously as life's final exam, which if passed guarantees one's entrance into the spiritual world, where life is eternal, full of bliss, and full of knowledge. So how do you pass this final exam? It's very simple. You simply have to remember God at the time of death. So how do you prepare yourself? It's very simple. You simply have to remember God always. In this way when death comes you are automatically covered. Krishna consciousness is the art of always remembering God.

What is the function of tongue in meditation?

Answer: To Vibrate the Holy Names of God

From: ISKCON Austin, Texas USA

My Dear Rohit,

Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

The tongue is very important because it is used to vibrate the holy names of God. The ear is used to hear the vibration created by the tongue. One then absorbs his mind in Krishna and enters into a state of pure transcendental bliss.

I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.

Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
