Beyond Sex Pleasure

In this material world everyone is going crazy over sex desire. Even though sex is only meant for procreation, people take it as their number one form of recreation. The reason by nature's way that it is so enjoyable is for counteracting the great difficulty of having children. In other words, if it were not for the intense pleasure of sex, people would not be inclined to have children.

So long as we utilize sex only for producing saintly children it is divine. It is non-different from Krishna Himself. But when it used simply for sense pleasure it is demoniac. The transcendental pleasure of Krishna consciousness is so much more satisfying than sex that one can easily give up sex pleasure, with the exception being if wants to have Krishna conscious children. Krishna consciousness is that most sublime of all pleasures. It takes one far beyond sex pleasure because it is a much, much, much higher taste.

Question: Meaning of Life?

What is the meaning of life if we are all going to die at some point?

Pradipto SenSama

Answer: Serve the Supreme Self

From: En route to Lithuania

My Dear Pradipto,

Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Only the body dies. The self within is eternal. The meaning of life is for the individual eternal self to engage in the loving service of the Supreme Eternal Self, who is the source of all existence. Just as when we water the root of a tree all the leaves and branches are nourished, similarly when we render loving service to the Supreme Self, who is the root of all existence and who is knows as"Krishna", we give loving service and satisfaction to all living beings.

I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.

Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
