Memories of a Most Memorable Vyas Puja Day
In accordance with the injunctions of the Vedic scriptures on the tenth day of the sacred month of Kartik, which this year was on 20 October, my disciples celebrated the day that I appeared in this world in my present body. This day is known as Vyasa Puja, worship of the original spiritual master, Srila Vyasadeva, because by worshipping our spiritual master, who is the representative of Srila Vyasadeva, we are also worshipping Srila Vyasadeva. A video was made and can be seen by clicking on the following link:

It was also a most memorable day because I initiated eleven new disciples: Sarvajña Das, Sāndīpani Muni Das, Revatīnandana Das,
Halāyudha Das, Jagadbandhu Das, Vaṁśīdhārī Das, Sarvamaṅgala Devī Dāsi, Kirtan Devi Dasi, Rati-mañjarī Devi Dasi, Vaisnavapriya devi dasi, and Ākūti Devi Dasi
I also gave brahminical initiation to four disciples: Visnurata Das, Sundar Gopal Das, Prema Sarovara Devi Dasi, and Anapayini Devi Dasi

Individually any person has to face his own karma. Why guru should be punished for his disciple's bad deeds?
Please clarify

My Dear Radha Ramana,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Srila Prabhupada has very nicely answered your question as follows in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam, Ninth Canto, Chapter 9, Text 5:
"Sometimes the spiritual master, after accepting a disciple, must take charge of that disciple's past sinful activities and, being overloaded, must sometimes suffer -- if not fully, then partially -- for the sinful acts of the disciple. Every disciple, therefore, must be very careful not to commit sinful activities after initiation. The poor spiritual master is kind and merciful enough to accept a disciple and partially suffer for that disciple's sinful activities, but Krsna, being merciful to His servant, neutralizes the reactions of sinful deeds for the servant who engages in preaching His glories."
I hope this meets you in the best of health.

Question: Guru Suffers His Disciples Karma?
I have a doubt. You had once said that Guru is responsible for his disciple's sins, that if the disciple does any sinful actions then Guru has to face the consequences. Why this is like that?Individually any person has to face his own karma. Why guru should be punished for his disciple's bad deeds?
