Can Anger Be Used In Krishna's Service?

In Hawaii on March 23, 1969 Srila Prabhupada, was asked, "Don't followers of Kṛṣṇa conscious ever get angry?"

Here was his reply:

"Yes. They can get angry. Why not? They're very much angry to the nondevotees: 'You rascal! Why you have not..., are not surrendering yourself to God? You rascals.' Yes. We are angry. This anger is service of Kṛṣṇa. How can I give up anger? But we use anger in a different way, not for our sense gratification: 'Why you have not paid me such-and-such money?' No, we don't say like that. 'Why you are not Kṛṣṇa conscious?' That is our anger.

"So the anger can be utilized in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Everything can be utilized in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Why should I give up anger? Kṛṣṇa is also angry, and I am son of Kṛṣṇa. So anger is in me because I have got the qualities of my father. So how can I give up anger? But I use anger only for Kṛṣṇa. So we do not leave anything, but we utilize everything for Kṛṣṇa. That is our Kṛṣṇa consciousness philosophy. So, 'Don't followers of Kṛṣṇa conscious ever get angry?' Yes, we get angry. Why not? We are not artificial. Human nature is to become anger, sometimes satisfied, sometimes... So we utilize this. We are angry when one is not Kṛṣṇa conscious, when he's against God."

I am very happy that Srila Prabhupada has authorized us to use anger in Krishna's service. In this regard I am very angry at our modern so-called leaders who are authorizing the slaughtering of 850,000 innocent cows every day and the murdering by abortion of 125,000 innocent babies every day. Kindly note that this is not in a year. This is every day. These rascal leaders must now surrender to Krishna or immediately step down from their positions of leadership and allow Krishna's devotees to take all the positions of leadership throughout the entire world. Only when when we have Krishna conscious leaders will the people of this world be peaceful and happy.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
