The Astounding Mercy of Prahlada Maharaja
Srila Prabhupada writes as follows:
"You have asked if it is true that the spiritual master remains in the material universe until all of His disciples are transferred to the spiritual sky. The answer is yes, this is the rule. Therefore, every student should be very much careful not to commit any offense which will be detrimental to this promotion to the spiritual kingdom, and thereby the spiritual master has to incarnate again to deliver him." (From a letter to: Jayapataka -- Los Angeles 11 July, 1969)
This is the amazing mercy of the spiritual master. But Prahlada Maharaja is even more merciful as described here by Srila Prabhupada in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam, Fourth Canto, Chapter 17, Verse 26:
"As far as the field of spiritual activities is concerned, when a devotee is self-satisfied and does not preach the glories of Krishna, he is not considered a first-class devotee. A devotee who tries to preach, who has compassion upon innocent persons who have no knowledge of Krishna, is a superior devotee. In his prayer to the Lord, Prahlada Maharaja said that he was not personally interested in liberation from this material world; rather, he did not wish to be liberated from this material condition until all fallen souls were delivered."
Augustine Emmanuel
My Dear Augustine,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
These will come to you only if you have earned them by heaps and heaps of pious activities in previous lifetimes. In this lifetime you will only get whatever money, power, wealth, fame, long life and prosperity is due to you according to your past karma, nothing more than that.
I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.
