Question: What is Heart, Soul, and Mind?
Dear Sankarshan Das Adhikari Prabhu,Hare Krishna!. My name is Chitta, originally from India (Puri) but now staying at Copenhagen. I have some queries whose answers I am trying to find out to further motivates myself to proceed on the path of devotional services.
Q. What are the difference between heart, soul, and mind? where do they reside? Are they connected? Do they change body like changing clothes?
Kind regards
Chitta
My Dear Chitta,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
The heart is an organ made of gross matter. The soul is a spiritual particle that sits within the heart. The mind is hovering around the soul. The soul and mind travel with you when you take your next birth. The heart is left behind.
When you attain perfection, the material mind also stays behind and the pure mind, which is absolutely one with the soul, becomes fully awakened in one's original identity in the pastimes of Krishna in the spiritual world.
I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.
Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
