Sex Is a Beautiful Gift From God

Sex is a beautiful gift from God for producing saintly children. In fact, Lord Sri Krishna openly declares in the Bhagavad-gita that such sex done in accordance with religious principles is He Himself:

dharmāviruddho bhūteṣu kāmo 'smi bharatarṣabha

"I am that sex life which is not contrary to religious principles, O lord of the Bhāratas [Arjuna]."--Bhagavad-gita 7.11

Usually in today's grossly materialistic society people have sex simply for fun. Such sex is material sense gratification and does not represent Krishna. In fact, it is simply downright sinful. However, sex engaged in according to the directions of the spiritual master and the scriptures for producing saintly children is purely spiritual. Indeed, it is factually Krishna Himself. Such sex is desirable and wonderful because it attracts highly qualified souls to take birth who will be a blessing to this world. Therefore we must always remember that sex is for procreation only. It is not for recreation.

Answer: Strictly Follow These Guidelines

I am very happy to give you my blessings for trying to have a Krishna conscious child, provided you follow Srila Prabhupada instructions for householders who want to have a child.

Once in a month 5 or 6 days after your wife’s menstrual period and after you have both chanted at least 50 rounds of japa you can have sex for trying to get child. If you want to have more than one child, Prabhupada’s instruction is that once your wife is pregnant there should be no more sex until the child is born and at least six month’s old. If you follow these guidelines, you certainly have my full blessings for trying to get a nice saintly child.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
