Worship Krishna's Devotee

Srila Prabhupada wonderfully enlightened us in a Srimad Bhagavatam class that he gave in Los Angeles on 28 December 1973 that even though worshipping Krishna is good, it is better to worship Krishna's devotees Because Krishna's devotees are very, very dear to Krishna, when He sees that they are being worshipped very nicely He becomes even more pleased than when He is being worshipped.

In this connection Srila Prabhupada explained, "Why spiritual master is very dear to Krishna? Because his only anxiety is how Krishna will be known all over the world. That's all. He has no ambition, pounds, shilling, pence. He only wants to know, only wants to see that everyone is devotee of Krishna and they are happy."

So if we will mold our lives in such a way that we are always pleasing our spiritual master, Krishna will bestow His unlimited blessings upon us at every minute.

Question: Are We Indebted to Our Parents?

Dear Srila Gurudeva,

Please accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I am attached to my parents and grandparents because I still want that they would love the way I am. But they have expectations for me and I understand that I can't satisfy them and I don't want to. I understand that all I have to do is to try love them unconditionally, otherwise I am being angry and suffering. How not to be attached to them and also not to keep distance?

Are we indebted to out parents that they give us birth in this life?

Your servant

Answer: Surrender to Krishna Pays All Debts

The way to utilize your attachment to your parents without polluting your consciousness with bodily attachment is to give them Krishna consciousness.

In this material world we are entangled in karmic debt to thousands and millions of living beings including our parents. But when we surrender to Krishna, in one stroke we are freed from all debt, all obligations. Surrender to Krishna is just like watering the root of a tree. When you water the root of the tree all the leaves and branches are automatically nourished. There is no need to water the leaves and branches separately.
