Introducing Krishna to the World

The entire world is suffering due to a lack of Krishna consciousness. Simply by becoming Krishna conscious, all the world's problems will be solved. Therefore our mission is to introduce the whole world to Krishna. If the world's leaders can learn how to put Krishna back in the center, world wide peace and prosperity will be the immediate result. But how to convince them? That is the challenge. The key, of course, is to get them to read Srila Prabhupada's books. This is why Srila Prabhupada so much emphasizes the distribution of his books as the topmost welfare activity to relieve the suffering humanity from illusion.

Question: Why Can't I Remember What I Read?

I read many of Srila Prabhupada's books like the Nectar of Devotion. I have almost finished the Srimad Bhagavatam, and I have read the Bhagavad-gita many times. But I don't remember anything. Why?

Answer: That is the Nature of this Kali Yuga

In this age of Kali our memories are not very sharp. Therefore it is natural for us to have a hard time remembering what we read. This can be overcome by writing every day what you are realizing by reading Prabhupada's books and also discussing your realizations regularly with others. The most important thing is that you remember Krishna 24 hours a day. So if by your reading you are able to remember Krishna 24 hours a day, that is the perfection of your reading. And if you always remember Krishna, He will give you to power to remember also His most wonderful teachings as revealed in Srila Prabhupada’s books. So go on reading, writing, discussing, and remembering Krishna and you will become a first class learned pandit in the teachings of Srila Prabhupada.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Who is this Krishna?

Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth. He is all-attractive because he exceeds everyone in all of existence by possessing unlimitedly all the qualities that are attractive namely power, beautify, renunciation, knowledge, wealth, and fame.
