We Need Maha-Bhagavatas

Of all devotees the maha-bhagavata is the most exalted. What distinguishes him from the other devotees is that he sees everything within Krishna and Krishna within everything. In this way he is never separated from Krishna, not even for a minute.

Srila Prabhupada explains:

"So that is the aim of Krishna consciousness movement, that everyone, at least those who are ruling, those who are on the executive function, they must be all maha-bhagavata. Under them everything should be ruled. Then people will be happy. Because they will never do anything unjustly."

So if the executive heads throughout the world all must be maha-bhagavatas, who will train them how to become maha-bhagavatas? This means that the Krishna consciousness movement must have maha-bhagavata preachers all over the world who will train these executive heads how to become maha-bhagavatas.

Question: How to Develop Pure Love?

Gurudeva, I was watching the "Beginning at Second Avenue" video which was recently released on the occasion of ISKCON 50th Anniversary. In that video, there was one conversation between Satsvarupa Maharaja and Srila Prabhupada which touched my heart deeply where Srila Prabhupada mentions to his disciple, "If you love me, I will love you." And then Maharaja describes in his experience that this statement had tremendous effect on him and he was moved emotionally and deeply personally.

Gurudeva, I want to develop that same pure love for you which will always keep me enthusiastic to serve, help me to keep my mind, thoughts, and actions under control, and make me do things which pleases you.

How do I develop that same pure love for you which you have for Srila Prabhupada?

Your eternal servant,
Rajendra Das

Answer: Real Love Means Obedience

Real love means obedience. So real love for the spiritual master means obedience to the orders received from the spiritual master. Without that, obedience is simply a show bottle sentiment. It is not real love. Therefore the love of the disciple for his spiritual master will be manifest according to the degree of his commitment to always faithfully follow the instructions of his spiritual master in his thoughts, words, and deeds in all times, places, and circumstances.
