Unlimitedly Blessed by Srila Prabhupada

In 1975 in Atlanta, Georgia USA I was unlimitedly blessed to be sitting directly at the lotus feet of my most beloved spiritual master, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, one morning in the temple room when he taught us a melody for the most wonderful bhajan (devotional song), Sri Sri Gaura-Nityanander Daya--The Mercy of Sri Gaura and Nityananda, by Locan Das Thakur. I was also very fortunate to be able to record it on my cassette recorder. That recording is now here available for your transcendental enlivenment and enlightenment.

parama koruṇa, pahū dui jana
nitāi gauracandra
saba avatāra-sāra śiromaṇi
kevala ānanda-kanda

The two Lords, Nitai-Gauracandra, are very merciful. They are the essence of all incarnations. The specific significance of these incarnations is that They introduced a process of chanting and dancing that is simply joyful.

bhajo bhajo bhāi, caitanya nitāi
sudṛḍha biśwāsa kori
viṣaya chāḍiyā, se rase majiyā,
mukhe bolo hari hari

My dear brother, I request that you just worship Lord Caitanya and Nityananda with firm conviction and faith. If one wants to be Krishna conscious by this process, one has to give up his engagement in sense gratification. One simply has to chant, "Hare Krishna! Hari Hari!" without any motive.

dekho ore bhāi, tri-bhuvane nāi,
emona doyāla dātā
paśu pākhī jhure, pāṣāṇa vidare,
śuni' jāṅra guṇa-gāthā

My dear brother, just try and examine this. Within the three worlds there is no one like Lord Caitanya or Lord Nityananda. Their merciful qualities are so great that upon hearing them even birds and beasts cry and stones melt.

saṁsāre majiyā, rohili poriyā,
se pade nahilo āśa
āpana karama, bhuñjāye śamana,
kahoye locana-dāsa

But Locan Das regrets that I am entrapped by sense gratification. Since I have no attraction for the lotus feet of Lord Caitanya and Lord Nityananda, then Yamaraja, the superintendent of death, is punishing me by not allowing me to be attracted by this movement.

Carefully study and enter into the spirit of this song and your life will be unlimitedly sublime.

Question: Why Pious Suffer and Sinners Enjoy?

From one of our readers of www.turnontheworld.com

Hare Krishna, Guruji,

I want to know why God tests people who are good by heart and humble by nature and God- fearing. Mostly such people suffer but those who are culprits and doing sin in name of God they are enjoying life like anything.

Answer: Godly People Become Free From All Suffering

Whatever suffering God's devotees undergo in this world is all His special mercy upon them to help them come to their senses and realize that this material world is not their real home, that their real home is with Him in the spiritual world. In other words their difficulties are actually their best friend to help them quickly attain the spiritual world, where there are no difficulties at all, not even birth, death, old and disease.

Beginners on the path of devotion to God are sometimes confused when they see that demoniac people are enjoying life while God's devotees suffer. But in this connection it should clearly understood that the demoniac are simply burning off and exhausting the results of whatever pious deeds they have done in the past. As soon as they have exhausted their good karma they will be plunged into the most hellish, nightmarish conditions of life. God's devotees are going to an eternal, blissful life in the spiritual world while the non-devotees will be suffering like anything in the cycle of birth, even if they seem to be temporarily enjoying.
