Realizing the Self Within

Recently one of our subscribers dropped out of our e-course. The reason he gave is that the search for what is within is best carried out in silence. But if silence is the key for unlocking the higher truth within, why he did break silence by telling me why he is dropping the course? If he truly believed in silence, he would have silently dropped out without saying a word.

Regarding realizing the truth within, any attempt to realize this higher truth by practicing silence (mauna-vrata) will always fail because the mind by its very nature always active. Both the illusioned material mind and enlightened spiritual mind within are always active. Some say that within is the state of no mind, but this is fallacious. There is no such state. Your mind will either be material or spiritual. It never becomes non-existent. This is why any attempt to turn off the mind will always be futile. The solution then for attaining the liberated state of awakening the within is to absorb the mind in transcendental sound vibrations which originate in the world within. These amazing vibrations are infused with a healing potency to bring you back to your original pure state of enlightened consciousness within. There are thousands of such mind-delivering mantras mentioned in the ancient Vedic literatures. These mantras have been chanted throughout the ages to bring their chanters back to their pure state of consciousness. Out of all these mantras one mantra is especially singled out as the mahamantra, the great chanting for deliverance, for this present most materialistic age. That mantra is as follows:

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare

Anyone who regularly and sincerely chants this Hare Krishna mahamantra will personally experience the reawakening of their original, eternal, all-blissful, all-knowing nature within. Therefore we want to teach everyone all over the world to chant this mantra, to bring an immediate solution to all of the world's problems both individually and collectively.

Answer: When You're Prepared to Engage It Fully in His Service

Krishna is prepared to bless you with unlimited wealth just as He blessed Sudama Brahmana with more material opulence than could be imagined even by the king of heaven, Indradeva. But the difficulty is that you are not prepared to engage it fully in Krishna’s service. Therefore you are struggling.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
