Ten Principles for Advancing in Krishna Consciousness

If you will follow these ten principles given by Srila Rupa Goswami, you will advance steadily in Krishna consciousness:

(1) Accept the shelter of the lotus feet of a bona fide spiritual master.
(2) Become initiated by the spiritual master and learn how to discharge devotional service from him.
(3) Obey the orders of the spiritual master with faith and devotion.
(4) Follow in the footsteps of great acaryas (teachers) under the direction of the spiritual master.
(5) Inquire from the spiritual master how to advance in Krishna consciousness.
(6) Be prepared to give up anything material for the satisfaction of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna (this means that when we are engaged in the devotional service of Krishna, we must be prepared to give up something which we may not like to give up, and also we have to accept something which we may not like to accept).
(7) Reside in a sacred place of pilgrimage like Dvaraka or Vrindavana.
(8) Accept only what is necessary, or dealing with the material world only as far as necessary.
(9) Observe the fasting day on Ekadasi.
(10) Worship sacred trees like the banyan tree.

Therefore take advantage of this clearly defined process and quickly regain your lost loving relationship with Lord Sri Krishna.

Question: Reciprocation With Devotees and Krishna?

Srila Gurudeva, I have question regarding reciprocation among devotees. Does our reciprocation depend on the give and take theory that is if one calling, sending messages, and sharing realizations with other devotee then only other devotee will share Krishna conscious things or it should not be like that? How should I understand this? And what kind of reciprocation should remain among devotees? And among them on what basis this reciprocation should depend? Also, how should I take this statement, "According to our surrender Krishna reciprocates"? Does this means Krishna does not reciprocates with those who are not surrendered?

Please enlighten the fallen soul.
Thank you!!

Answer: Krishna Gives Full Facility to Everyone

Reciprocation with devotees is described by Krishna in the Bhagavad-gita 10.9:

mac-cittā mad-gata-prāṇā
bodhayantaḥ parasparam
kathayantaś ca māṁ nityaṁ
tuṣyanti ca ramanti ca

"The thoughts of My pure devotees dwell in Me, their lives are fully devoted to My service, and they derive great satisfaction and bliss from always enlightening one another and conversing about Me."

So you should find amongst the lady devotees those who are eager to follow this instruction of Lord Krishna and engage with them regularly in talking about Krishna from many different angles of vision.

Krishna reciprocates with everyone. He rewards those who always want to remember Him with full facility to remember Him, and blesses those who want to forget Him with full facility to forget Him.
