Are You on the Right Track?

Are you on the right track? Is pleasing Krishna the only purpose of your life? Or are you still foolishly holding onto your absurd material desires? If you are not focused purely only on pleasing Krishna, you need to rectify yourself because you are going in the wrong direction. You are definitely off the track. Just as the hand cannot be properly satisfied and nourished unless it feeds the stomach, it is absolutely impossible for you to be truly happy and satisfied unless you fully surrender yourself to Lord Sri Krishna by accepting His instructions as the only guiding principle for your life.

If we have to return to Godhead, first of all why did God bring us here to this life? Why didn't He just create us and leave us where we ought to be? Were we all with Him before we decided to come to this earth?

Answer: To Rectify Our Crooked Mentality

We were all originally with the Supreme Lord in His eternal kingdom before we fell down into this miserable material world. So why did we fall? He has endowed us all with free will so that we have the capacity to either love Him or leave Him. In other words, love cannot exist unless there is free will. Otherwise we are just robots. Since all living beings have the choice to love Him or leave Him, sometimes some of the living beings in their attempt to enjoy the greatest happiness make the foolish mistake of trying to imitate God rather than lovingly serving Him. When this happens they are given the facility to do this here in this material world where they are also given the facility to rectify their deviant mentality and return under the guidance of the bona fide spiritual master to their original position in the spiritual world.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
