Begging for Srila Prabhupada's Mercy

My Dear Srila Prabhupada,

Please accept my humble obeisances in the dust of your divine lotus feet.

You have us left with an unimaginable mission. You have instructed us to deliver the entire world. This seems quite impossible because we have a hard enough time delivering ourselves and even a harder time working together co-operatively as a unified worldwide ISKCON. So how is it possible that we can successfully carry out the order you have given to us to deliver the whole world? It almost seems like a dream.

But it can happen, and indeed it will happen because it is predicted in the Caitanya Caritamrita that the entire world will someday be inundated with pure Krishna bhakti. How will it happen? It will only happen by our sticking tightly to all of your instructions accepting them as our very life and soul. Then and only then will your full world-delivering potency be manifest through us. Therefore, Srila Prabhupada, we are begging this boon from you that in all times, places, and circumstances with all of our thoughts, words, and deeds we can now be fully absorbed in following your instructions to the absolute very best of our abilities. This will save us and anyone who follows us. And indeed, simply by our being fully obedient to you, Srila Prabhupada, that brilliant, effulgent day will dawn in the future when all the world’s leaders will accept your teachings as the ultimate guiding principle for the entire human society. May that day come soon. May that day come soon.

Can I be initiated as a disciple for Srila Prabhupada even though he departed from this world in 1977 almost 40 years ago?

Answer: Become a Disciple of Prabhupada's Disciple

Being a disciple of Srila Prabhupada means following the instructions given by Srila Prabhuapda. Since he instructed that after his departure the new devotees should take initiation from his disciples, if you want to truly follow Srila Prabhupada, you must take initiation from one of his authorized disciples.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
