Auspicious and Inauspicious

If something is auspicious, do it immediately. And if something is inauspicious keep postponing it and postponing it until it finally does not happen at all. Auspicious means that which is pleasing to Krishna and inauspicious means that which is not pleasing to Krishna. If you will follow this principle strictly, your life will be perfect and upon leaving your present body you will become one of Krishna's intimate personal associates in the spiritual world.

Question: Qualification for Entering Goloka Vrindavan?

Hare Krishna,
Dandavat pranam. I am not very clear with concept of how a person can reach Goloka Vrindavan. From my reading of Bhagavad-gita, initially I understood that only a person who thinks of Krishna, at the time of death, will certainly attain Goloka Vrindavan. It seems to me that, our goal is to attain perfection in terms of developing pure love for God and attaining unalloyed devotional service, which would help us remember Krishna at the time of death. Does that mean, in the process, we will purify ourselves, and become good hearted sinless human beings, free from material attachment, or do they count as additional criteria to reach Godhead? So, what is the destiny of a sincere devotee, who practices other forms of religion, but has developed love for God? Does the true Christian or Muslim have to be reborn as Krishna conscious devotee, in order to reach Goloka Vrindavan, if he couldn't think of God at the time of death? In a nutshell, is the criteria to reach Goloka Vrindavan perfection in devotional service, being sinless, detachment from material world, or a combination of all? I appreciate your time in clarifying my doubt.

Thanks,

Answer: Pure Devotee Always Thinks of Krishna

Attaining pure love of God and thinking of Krishna at the time and death are the same because if you don’t have pure love of God, you will still have material attachments and you will think of something material at the time of death instead of Krishna. One who is perfect in devotional service is naturally sinless and completely detached from this material world.

Those who have developed pure love of God in awe and reverence attain other planets than Goloka Vrindavan in the spiritual world where the Supreme Person is worshipped with great awe and reverence in one of His four-armed Vishnu forms. Anyone who eats meat such as the vast majority of Christians and Muslims, is not qualified to enter the spiritual world. Because of their attachment to tasting blood and flesh they will take birth again here in this miserable material world as animals to be killed and eaten just as they killed and ate so many animals. Someone may argue that they did not kill the animals they ate. But by paying someone to kill the animal they are also guilty of killing the animal, just as an accomplice to a murder is considered in a court of law to be guilty of murder.
