The more you bring your senses under control by engaging them in the service of Krishna, the more you become powerful for having a Krishnizing effect upon the world. This is why it is said that one pure devotee can deliver the entire universe. So, if every member of the Krishna consciousness will sincerely endeavor to become a 100% pure devotee of Krishna as soon as possible, very quickly the Krishna consciousness movement will be able to take over the world ushering in a new era of peace and prosperity for all.

What is the destination of army and police personal who die doing their duty? Such death is considered very heroic in this world. Do they get any special mercy of Krishna when many of them are breaking the regulative principles, such as meat eating and drinking alcohol? These are very common in the army and in the police.

Should devotees join the army or the police? What type of careers should grihasthas chooseß?

Answer: That Depends on Their Consciousness

Army and police are like anyone else. If they die thinking of Krishna, they will go to Krishna, otherwise they will take birth again here in this material world

The devotee's only real occupation is to serve Krishna 24 hours. In order to maintain his body while he is engaged in Krishna’s service he may accept whatever occupation is most practical for him, while avoiding grossly sinful occupations like being a butcher.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
