Krishna Consciousness Solves All Problems

In this material world we are drowning in an ocean of problems: some small, some big, and some monstrously gargantuan. We foolishly try to solve this myriad of problems in a piecemeal, nit-picking fashion and thus remain utter failures in trying to solve them. But just as when we water the root of the tree all the leaves and branches are nourished, when we put ourselves fully in the hands of the all-merciful Lord Sri Krishna in one stroke all problems are solved automatically. One stroke--finishd.

Srila Prabhupada explains it in this way:

The goldsmith uses a small hammer and taps the gold many times, but the blacksmith uses a large hammer and with one stroke his job is finished. This is the blacksmith's method: we take the big hammer of bhakti-yoga and finish all material life.

Please accept my humble obeisances.

I am writing this with a very heavy and honest heart. I sincerely want to progress in my spiritual life, but I feel very confused and emotionally weak.

I naturally care deeply for people and think a lot about them, but many times this becomes the cause of my pain. Even when I am surrounded by people, I feel a deep sense of loneliness inside. I don’t always understand how to balance caring for others and protecting my own spiritual and emotional health.

At present, I have not yet taken shelter of a living spiritual master. With sincerity, I have accepted Śrīla Prabhupāda in my heart as my guide, but still I feel lost and unsure whether I am progressing correctly. Sometimes my mind becomes very heavy, and I don’t know whom to approach or how to open my heart properly. I truly desire guidance on how to develop spiritual strength, detachment, and steady faith—especially when I feel lonely, misunderstood, or emotionally hurt.

Kindly bless me and guide me on how to move forward with sincerity and steadiness in devotional life. I genuinely want to improve and take shelter properly.

Krishna’s devotee feels the greatest pain to see the suffering souls of this material world caught up in the cycle of birth and death. And thus his life is fully dedicated to delivering them back to home, back to Godhead. Because of this mood of compassion for the suffering souls he is very dear to Lord Krishna. Thus He is never alone because Lord Krishna is with that devotee and blessing that devotee with His divine presence at every minute.

You are welcome to take ongoing guidance and support from me so that I can make that you are progressing nicely on the path of devotional service. Are you chanting at 16 rounds of Hare Krishna japa mala daily and strictly avoiding illicit sex, meat eating, intoxication, and gambling?

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
