Krishna Consciousness is the Supreme Pleasure

In this material world sexual intercourse is the topmost pleasure. But this is the same pleasure enjoyed by the pigs, the monkeys and the crocodiles, etc. Thus as long as we remain the slaves of our genitals we remain on the animal platform caught up in the cycle of birth of death. If we are fortunate enough to be blessed by the mercy of a saintly person we can transcend the genital stimulation platform and come to the platform of the greatest pleasure, Krishna consciousness. This qualifies us that upon leaving our present material bodies we can enter the spiritual world, where the material miseries of birth, death, old age, and disease are conspicuous bh their absence.

Sexual pleasure, although intense, goes on for a few minutes only. But the pleasure of Krishna consciousness goes on 24 hours a day becoming more and more intensified, more and more ecstatic with each passing day. It is unlimitedly more exhilarating than any amount of genital stimulation. Sex cannot even begin to compete with the unlimited pleasure of Krishna bhakti.

In this regard Srila Prabhupada writes as follows in his purport to Bhagavad-gita, Chapter 5, Text 21:

A person in brahma-yoga, or Kṛṣṇa consciousness, is so absorbed in the loving service of the Lord that he loses his taste for material sense pleasure altogether. The highest pleasure in terms of matter is sex pleasure. The whole world is moving under its spell, and a materialist cannot work at all without this motivation. But a person engaged in Kṛṣṇa consciousness can work with greater vigor without sex pleasure, which he avoids. That is the test in spiritual realization. Spiritual realization and sex pleasure go ill together. A Kṛṣṇa conscious person is not attracted to any kind of sense pleasure, due to his being a liberated soul.

So, let take full advantage of the mercy of Srila Prabhupada and fully embrace the supreme science, Krishna consciousness, as our very life and soul.

My friend and I just read Bhagavad Gita As It Is 18.65-66 and started disscussion on the topics. I dont find better explanations as Prabhupada has mercifully given. The best teachings and the most beautiful and loving Persona God is Krishna in Prabhupadas books.

The true meaning of religion is relinking with God. What is going on today in the name is not religion. It is a false show of religion.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee.
