Faith Can Move Mountains

December 15, 2025

It is sometimes said, "Faith can move mountains." We can certainly see the truth of this statement in the life of Srila Prabhupada. Because of his unflinching faith in the order of his spiritual master to preach the message of Krishna in the western countries he was able to launch a spiritual movement with assets of millions of dollars, hundreds of temples, and thousands of devotees, even though he had no followers, no temples, and only 40 Indian rupees.

When one becomes a pure devotee of Krishna he automatically attains all mystic powers and than can thus accomplish anything conceivable or inconceivable according to the plan of Krishna, even if it literally means moving mountains. This is confirmed by Srila Prabhupada in his purport to SB 4.23.11 as follows

Although he never engages in fruitive activities or empiric speculation to attain mystic powers, automatically mystic powers appear in his service. A devotee does not want any kind of material opulence, but such opulence appears before him automatically.

So let us all now become pure devotees to accomplish the inconceivable task of making the whole world Krishna conscious.

You did not reply to my questions.
What is the meaning of the term "vedanta"?
What is the meaning of the title "Bhaktivedanta"? This is given to Srila Prabhupada

My Dear Gaurav,

Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.

According to the Bhagavad-gītā, Veda means knowledge, and anta means the end of it. According to the Bhagavad-gītā, the Lord is the source of everything (ahaṁ sarvasya prabhavaḥ [Bg. 10.8]), and thus the end of all knowledge (Vedānta) is to know the Lord, to know our relationship with Him and to act according to that relationship only.

Bhaktivedanta means one who possesses bhakti and the conclusion of all knowledge.

I hope this meets you in the best of health and in a cheerful mood.

Your ever well-wisher
Sankarshan Das Adhikari

How I Came to Krishna Consciousness

In a world obsessed with money, fame, and fleeting pleasures—leading nowhere but to the grave or the crematorium—I walked away. Life felt so meaningless, I couldn’t stand it. This is the true story of how I turned my back on the American materialistic dream and discovered something far greater: Krishna consciousness. A gripping journey of inner revolution and a call to awaken a world civilization on the edge of collapse.
