Our most beloved ISKCON Founder-Acharya, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, has given us the duty to save the world from the chaos and misery caused by godlessness. Therefore as his dedicated disciples and grand disciples we must seriously devote our lives for the deliverance of the world. This is the purpose of our lives on this planet. Otherwise we have no purpose at all for being here.

Question: What's Wrong With Having Sex?

I am reading all your articles and all your question-answers sections, which are really mind-opening. Now shall I ask you a question in order to enlighten myself.

What is wrong in having sex, as it is just a pleasure activity, which does not involve any killing of innocent lives, And my second question is, science says drinking alcohol in a limited quantity will only improve our health. So is it okay if alcohol is taken in a minimal quantity?

Answer: By Non-Procreational Sex You Kill Yourself

We never say that there is something wrong with sex. Sex is the means by which we can bring Krishna conscious children into the world. Therefore sex is a wonderful thing. Sex is only wrong when it misused for material sense gratification. The difficulty of indulging in such sex is that this tightens the knot of material identification and keeps you entangled in the cycle of birth and death. Thus by non-procreational sex you are killing yourself. Such sex also leads to the murder of millions of innocent babies every year.

Science says so many nonsense things such as there is no God and no soul. We don't accept the authority of such science. Alcohol drinking is a huge problem in world. So many murders and rapes are committed by people under the influence of alcohol. Thousands of fatal traffic accidents are also a result of drinking and driving. Many people die prematurely every year due to health complications from the consumption of alcohol Therefore it is better that it should be given up. We avoid alcohol completely because it gives you a false sense of pleasure that this material world is enjoyable. It is better to always remain sober remembering that his material world is a miserable place so that you can fully absorb your mind in Krishna consciousness and become qualified to go back to Godhead upon leaving this present body.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
