Don't Be a Slave of Your Senses

Don't be a slave of your senses. They are very cruel masters indeed. The reward they give you for a lifetime of dedicated service is old age, disease, and death. Therefore it does not make any sense to give them any more gratification than they require to remain healthy. Especially this applies to the tongue because it is the more voracious of all the senses. One who cannot control his tongue is also not able to control his genitals. Such an uncontrolled person who overindulges his tongue and his genitals becomes very unhealthy, he becomes implicated in volumes of sinful reactions, and he shortens his life. In this next life he will go down to animal kingdom to get a better facility to enjoy his tongue and genitals because the human life is not meant for sense gratification. It is meant for self-realization. If one will exclusive take only Krishna prasadam, his naturally will naturally be controlled, and he will make steady spiritual progress.

Question: How Can Krishna Have Over 16,100 Wives?

Lord Krishna also had over 16000 wives. I can't understand this. Can you explain why this might be so? Thanks.

Answer: As Easily as an Elephant Picks Lotus Flower

Krishna has unlimited opulence and power. Everything that exists is His expanded potency. Therefore for Him 16,008 wives is a piece of cake. He can easily pull this off with no strain at all to satisfy the desire of His devotees who want to serve Him in the mood of being His wife. He kindly manifests a separate expansion of Himself for each wife so that she never feels like she is sharing Him with 16,007 other wives. Each wife fully has Krishna all to herself. This is the inconceivable potency of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
