Using Your Talents for Krishna

Whatever talent or ability we have is a gift from Krishna. In fact Krishna directly declares in the Bhagavad-gita that He is the ability in man. This means that we should use these talents and abilities in His service. The more we thus glorify Krishna, the more we become glorious. Srila Prabhupada encouraged the Beatles to use to their musical talent for spreading Krishna consciousness and especially George Harrison followed this instruction. His song "My Sweet Lord", a song a separation from Krishna, became a million seller and helped people all over the world to become Krishna conscious.

Answers According to the Vedic Version:

Challenge: Your Approach is Unenlightened

Greetings,

How would you evaluate most of your answers to questions? Are they sattvic--not bound to attachments and opinions, rajasic--bound by the attachment to opinions, or tamasic--bound by judgments of others?

Thanks. This unenlightened approach through your answers has aided me in the process of enlightenment by guiding me to transcend and to free myself from the attachment to my own opinions and judgments. I am deeply moved.

Answer: You're Biting the Hand that Feeds You

You are making an assumption that we are answering questions in an unenlightened rajasic/ tamasic manner. But kindly note in this connection that we are not giving our own opinions. We are completely detached from our opinions and judgments and are humbly presenting the pure teachings of Srila Vyasadeva, the compiler of the Vedic wisdom exactly as he originally gave them. The messenger's duty is to simply deliver the message as it is without addition or subtraction. This is our humble service, just like a postal worker.

Therefore if, as you claim, our answers are unenlightened, then the Vedic wisdom is unenlightened. But you are using terms such as sattvic, rajasic, and tamasic, which come from the Vedic wisdom, to criticize our answers. This is tantamount to biting the hand that feeds you.

In conclusion, although we are detached from our judgments and opinions, it does not seem that you are free from them. Therefore we truly hope that you can become moved to go beyond your prejudices and fully reconnect yourself with the source of your existence. And you certainly have our best well-wishes in this regard.
