Pure, Eternal Love

As long as our tendency for love is tinged by even the slightest degree of selfishness it will never bring us permanent, lasting happiness. Real love is selfless service to the Supreme Being and through Him to all living beings. The atheist may claim that he loves everyone with the exception of God, that he does not need to love God because God does not exist. But let us see if he can purely love everyone without any thought of return. We challenge him to do this.

Pure love or eternal love requires to be channeled through the central point from which all of existence has arisen. That original point is point is God, who must necessarily be a person in order to manifest so many unlimited millions and billions of persons from Himself.

Answer: Pure, Selfless Surrender unto the Supreme Person

Love means pure selfless surrender unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the source of all existence. God is expanding everything from Himself simply for the purpose enjoying loving relationships with an infinite number of living beings.

When our love becomes selfish it is no longer love. It is then known as lust. The pure, selfless state of love makes us happy. And the impure, selfish state of lust makes us miserable.

The gopis departed with Krishna back to the spiritual world. Therefore they are not here on this planet during the Kali Yuga, the present age of quarrel and hypocrisy.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
