Physicist Says Universe Came Out of Nothing

Stephen Hawking, a world famous theoretical physicist who has been described as the greatest mind on the planet, states "...the universe was spontaneously created out of absolutely nothing." But all around us we see that things came from something. It has never been scientifically proven that something can come out of nothing. So why should accept that the biggest something of which we have experience, i.e. our universe, came out of nothing? Such a conclusion is not at all scientific because real science can be proven and demonstrated. It is not mere fanciful imagination.

Disagreement With Your Teachings

I disagree with the anti-Advaitic teachings presented here. Advaita is, of all places, quite centric within the Gita.

Response: You Have Not Properly Understood

I beg to inform you that we are not presenting anti-Advaitic philosophy, philosophy against the oneness of everything. Our philosophy is acintya bhedabheda tattva, that the Absolute Truth is simultaneously, inconceivably one and different. Everything is one because Krishna has expanded Himself as everything. And at the same time there is a difference between the Expander Krishna and the Expanded Krishna. In the Bhagavad-gita 2:12 Lord Krishna confirms the eternal distinction between Himself and the
living beings.

Kindly note that it is philosophically and scripturally incorrect and fanatical to deny either the oneness or the difference within reality. Krishna clearly presents both concepts in the Bhagavad-gita.

In regards to a proper understanding of Vedic wisdom we are cautioned by the great acharyas to avoid the fallacy known as ardha-kukuti-nyaya, half-hen logic. There was once a farmer who had a hen who laid very nice eggs that commanded a very high price in the market. He was very pleased with his special hen. But one thing he did not like was she ate a lot of chicken feed. So one day he got the "bright" idea to keep the end of the hen that he liked and cut off the end of the hen that he did not like. He wanted only the rear end that gave the eggs, but not like the end with the mouth that ate so much. After cutting off the hen's head this foolish fellow could not understand why he was not getting any more eggs.

So those who desire the ultimate "egg" of self-realization are advised not to cut off either the oneness aspect or the difference aspect of the Absolute Truth. Either kind of cutting will prove fatal for one who is on the self-realization path.
