Is Krishna Cruel?

Recently one of our dear subscribers dropped out of our course because she felt that we are not presenting here a God of unconditional love. She could not understand how a God of unconditional love could sanction a person's becoming an animal in his next life. She must have thought that such a God would be cruel. What she did not understand is that those who are more inclined towards animalistic activities are given by the Lord a better facility in their next life to fulfill their material desires. So such animal birth is for them a boon because they are getting the better facility for sense gratification that they desired. So, Krishna is not cruel. Like a loving father He is fully facilitating His beloved children according to their desires to enjoy and at the same time giving them all help in reviving their eternal relationship with Him.

Question: Is Transcendental Bliss Like an Erupting Volcano?

Is it true that the transcendental bliss experienced by a devotee of Lord Krishna can be compared to volcanic eruption? If yes, then is the intensity of transcendental bliss constant in an advanced devotee of Lord Krishna?

Answer: Yes, and It is Ever-Increasing.

Every living being is a pure devotee of Krishna. But the conditioned souls in this material world have completely forgotten about their loving relationship with the Lord. Therefore their natural transcendental bliss of pure devotion is currently in a dormant state within them just like a sleeping volcano. But when they revive their Krishna consciousness, the natural love of God and its concomitant transcendental bliss come again to the surface of their consciousness just like the awakening of a sleeping volcano.

Srila Prabhupada explains in his book "Renunciation Through Wisdom" that the transcendental bliss in an advanced devotee is ever increasing:

"As the devotee realizes this transcendental knowledge, he feels ever-increasing spiritual ecstasy overwhelming his heart. This spiritual joy expands at every moment."

Therefore if we are actually intelligent, we will fully absorb our lives in awakening our dormant Krishna consciousness because there is no greater attainment than this to be had anywhere within all of existence.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. Who is this Krishna?

Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
