I Am My Own Worst Enemy
Even though we are on the path of spiritual emancipation, because we are still coming out of material, conditioned consciousness we sometimes foolishly blame others for our spiritual deficiencies instead of taking responsibility for them ourselves. We may sometimes even go so far as to think that a particular person is my enemy and become fearful of how he or she may restrict our spiritual progress. Of course, this is utter foolishness. Nobody can restrict our spiritual progress. Our spiritual progress is entirely up to us. It cannot be hindered by anyone in any situation. In this regard we should always remember, "When I forget Krishna I am my own worst enemy, and therefore I should always remember Him in all times, places, and circumstances and thus remain always undefeatable by the material energy."

We can see from Srila Prabhupada's life that he was certainly self-realized. By his mercy I am self-realized, and anyone else who strictly follows his teachings is also self-realized.
Those who are not self-realized cannot guide us how to become self-realized, but unfortunately they often unscrupulously try to do so for the sake of mundane profit and prestige.
Srila Prabhupada confirmed that he was self-realized from his very boyhood, that there was never a time when he did not remember Krishna.
I hope that you will now realize the rare opportunity for self-realization that is being offered to you by this human form of life and fully dedicate your life in the service of Lord Sri Krishna. If you choose to take up this most auspicious path, I am fully prepared to give you all good guidance how to quickly and easily attain it.

Question: What Does Self Realization Mean?
Sir, you have used the word "self-realization" in your writing. What does it mean? How does a person know that he is self-realized. Was Srila Prabhupada self- realized? Are you self-realized? Can somebody who is not self-realized guide others to have self realization? Srila Prabhupada has never mentioned about his self-realization experience in his books, nor I have heard his such an experience from any of his disciples.Narendra
Answer: Know Who You Are and Be Who You Are
Self-realization simply means to know who you are and be who you are. If a person realizes that he is the eternal servant of Krishna and fully absorbs his life in Krishna's service, he is truly self-realized.We can see from Srila Prabhupada's life that he was certainly self-realized. By his mercy I am self-realized, and anyone else who strictly follows his teachings is also self-realized.
