What to Do When Everything Goes Wrong?

When Krishna shows special mercy to His devotee He arranges that his material situation becomes completely devastated. This is His special arrangement to help His devotee fully realize that he has no shelter in this material world, that His only shelter is at the lotus feet of guru and Krishna.

This is confirmed as follows in Srimad Bhagavatam, Tenth Canto, Chapter 88, Text 8:

yasyāham anugṛhṇāmi
hariṣye tad-dhanaṁ śanaiḥ
tato 'dhanaṁ tyajanty asya
svajanā duḥkha-duḥkhitam

The Personality of Godhead said: If I especially favor someone, I gradually deprive him of his wealth. Then the relatives and friends of such a poverty-stricken man abandon him. In this way he suffers one distress after another.

So let us all learn from this and be prepared for the time when this happens to us..

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
