The Kali Yuga Will Go into Remission

There is no doubt that this Kali-yuga is a hellish nightmare in which sin and corruption become more and more manifest. By the end of Kali-yuga, which is 427,000 years from now, there will be no food, and people will take to cannibalism. They will even eat their own children in order to survive.
But the good news we get from the Brahma-vaivarta Purāṇa is that there is a 10,000-year period within Kali-yuga in which the whole world will be Krishna conscious. This 10,000 year period is due to the mercy of Lord Caitanya and His associates.

kaler dasa-sahasrāni
mabhaktāh samti bhu-tale
ekavarnā bhavisyamti
madbhakteṣu gatesu ca
"For 10,000 years of Kali such devotees of Mine will fill the whole planet. After the departure of My devotees there will be only one varna [outcaste]."
After that 10,000-year period, when all the devotees have departed for the spiritual world, Kali-yuga will then manifest in full force.

Even if one is not a fireman, when a house is in flames he will naturally try to save those trapped within. In the same way, even before formal initiation, whatever realization one has about Krishna should be shared freely with the suffering souls of this material world, to rescue them from the burning cycle of repeated birth and death.
