Here is the life-transforming place—1271 Lafayette Street in Denver, Colorado—where, on a most fateful evening in the fall of 1968, my friend Patrick Dolan blessed me with the Hare Krishna mantra.

It started back in 1965
Feelin’ dead, I was not all alive
Searching for the meaning of life
Drowning in a sea of endless strife

No matter where I turned
By false gurus I was burned
They could not even show me light of day
But somehow I had faith there’s a pathway out of here
Though the way to find it yet remained unclear.

But then one day in 1968
A turning point did magic on my fate
A friend asked me to chant Hare Krishna
My life now has never been the same.
All duties given up, my pathway is now clear
Deliver world is my new career.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
