Blessed by Darshan of the Himalayas
In the Bhagavad-gita Krishna mercifully reveals to us so many ways that we can experience Him here in this material world. For example in Bhagavad-gita, Chapter 10, Text 25 He tells us that we can experience Him as the Himalayan mountains. Thus it was ecstatic that on the 2 December 2024 while flying to Calcutta to Delhi we were able to behold out of our airplane window with great wonder the beautiful, splendorous Himalayan mountains. Here's that verse:maharṣīṇāṁ bhṛgur ahaṁ
girām asmy ekam akṣaram
yajṣānāṁ japa-yajṣo 'smi
sthāvarāṇāṁ himālayaḥ
"Of the great sages I am Bhṛgu; of vibrations I am the transcendental oṁ. Of sacrifices I am the chanting of the holy names [japa], and of immovable things I am the Himālayas."
Here's what Srila Prabhupada has written in his purport to BG 10.25 about the Himalalyas:
"Whatever is sublime in the worlds is a representation of Kṛṣṇa. Therefore the Himālayas, the greatest mountains in the world, also represent Him. The mountain named Meru was mentioned in a previous verse, but Meru is sometimes movable, whereas the Himālayas are never movable. Thus the Himālayas are greater than Meru."
