All Hell is Breaking Loose on this Planet

All hell is breaking loose on this planet right now. For example I have just noticed in the news that UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was was shot and killed in Manhattan on Wednesday morning in a “brazen, targeted attack” as he walked toward the company’s annual investor conference. The gunman remains on the loose.

Why are such things happening? Those who are Krishna conscious can easily understand why this planet is becoming more and more of a pandemonium each and every day. It is due to an increase of sinfulness. The more there is an increase in illicit sex, intoxication, meat eating, and gambling, the more the peace and prosperity of the human society will go away. It will more and more become a dungeon of the demons.

When I take initiation does that mean that I am liberated, that my going back to home, back to Godhead is guaranteed?

Answer

When I enroll in Oxford University does that mean that my PhD degree is guaranteed? While it is a significant accomplishment to qualify for admittance into Oxford University that does not means that my PhD degree is assured. No. I must work for it diligently with determination, enthusiasm, and patience to get my desire degree. Similarly, while qualifying for initiation is significant it does not mean that my going back to home, back to Godhead is a sure thing. No. I must work for it sincerely with determination, enthusiasm, and patience to achieve my desired result.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
