We Saw Two Peacocks

Visiting a remote area of Vrindavan on 3 December 2024 with only a dirt road, we were very happy to see two peacocks. This reminded us of Krishna's pastimes that took place here 5,000 years ago when He displayed a replica of His pastimes in Goloka Vrindavana (the topmost planet in the spiritual world) here on our most fortunate planet earth in this material world.

Here's what Srila Prabhupada has written in his purport to SB 3.2.27 about the peacocks:

"The forests on the shore of the Yamunā are all beautiful gardens full of trees of mango, jackfruit, apples, guava, oranges, grapes, berries, palmfruit and so many other plants and fragrant flowers. And because the forest was on the bank of the Yamunā, naturally there were ducks, cranes and peacocks on the branches of the trees. All these trees and birds and beasts were pious living entities born in the transcendental abode of Vṛndāvana just to give pleasure to the Lord and His eternal associates, the cowherd boys."

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
