The Whole World is Waiting

Srila Prabhupada explained in a lecture he gave in Mumbai, India on 7 January 1973 that the whole world is waiting to be awakened in Krishna consciousness. So let us all now embrace Lord Caitanya's world deliverance mission as our very life and soul. Our lives will become glorious and all the sufferings of the countless souls who are imprisoned in this material existence will be mitigated. This is confirmed in Srimad Bhagavatam, Canto One, Chapter 7, Text 5 as follows:

"The material miseries of the living entity, which are superfluous to him, can be directly mitigated by the linking process of devotional service."

Srila Gurudev. As I could understand, before coming to Krishna consciousness, Your Grace was already situated at a high level - Inquisitive about life, away from rat race, friendly to all, Fearless and open. Krishna consciousness seemed to gracefully transform Your Grace into the finest & rarest jewel.

I am full of dirt. Struggling with initiation vows, timid, fearful to others, cheating mentality.

Srila Gurudev please enlighten:-
1. What is my hope of full cleansing?
2. Could Your Grace please share the efforts Your Grace made this far, so that I can draw some inspiration?

All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Your hope is unlimited because Krishna’s holy names have the power to completely cleanse our hearts, removing the unlimited volumes of dirt that are now polluting them.

In spite of the many ups and downs I have experienced in 53 years of serving Srila Prabhupada’s mission the blessing that has always kept me going is this instruction I received from my most beloved Srila Prabhupada in a letter he wrote in London on September 7 1971:

"I can see also that you are a very sincere and enthusiastic boy and are anxious for spreading this movement. Those are first class qualifications for making advancement in Krishna Consciousness. So continue enthusiastically as you are doing and Krishna will surely bless you."

I hope this meets you in the best of health.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
