In this material world we are in the darkness of ignorance suffering like anything. However, when we come to Krishna consciousness the whole world becomes ecstatically illuminated because we experience Krishna everywhere. In this regard Srila Prabhupada writes in The Nectar of Devotion as follows:

"The Nectar of Devotion will teach us how to turn the one switch that will immediately brighten everything, everywhere."

So let us always remain in the light of Krishna consciousness and never return to the darkness.

You mention begging the Lord and Vaishnavas for zero material desires. In some class you or Gurumata said the blessings are already there from the Guru and mercy of the Lord. It is our determination that brings us to the goal. So the question is: "Does intensely begging help and what does that mean?"

You say you have material desires. Please forgive me for saying - in my opinion, what you think as your material desire(s) may in fact be spiritual.

Our begging for blessings is like the child crying for its mother. Krishna reciprocates with us according to the intensity of our begging for His mercy.

Even though the spiritual master teaches us by his example to always feel ourselves to be fallen, the disciple sees him as a liberated soul because he is purely representing the teachings of the previous acaryas without any additions or subtractions..

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
