Do Not Withdraw into a Shell Like a Tortoise

Sometimes we are treated so unjustly that we lose all hope for things to turn out okay. Instead of giving up all hope and withdrawing ourselves into a state of lamentation and depression like a tortoise hiding within his shell, we should remember this verse from the Bhagavad-gita 18.78:

yatra yogeśvaraḥ kṛṣṇo
yatra pārtho dhanur-dharaḥ
tatra śrīr vijayo bhūtir
dhruvā nītir matir mama

"Wherever there is Kṛṣṇa, the master of all mystics, and wherever there is Arjuna, the supreme archer, there will also certainly be opulence, victory, extraordinary power, and morality. That is my opinion."

Thus we should bravely, valiantly fight against injustice, knowing fully well that if we are in the mood of serving our beloved Lord He will surely be on our side so that in the end we will conquer over injustice.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
