Who is a Bona Fide Guru?

In this materialistic age of Kali, the age of quarrel and hypocrisy. there are many so-called gurus who will take away your money, but it is indeed very, very rare to find a guru who can take away your anxiety. To find a such bona fide guru nowadays is indeed quite a challenge. So what is the the criterion by which one can determine who is a bona fide guru and who is not? The answer to this question is given by the supreme authority, Lord Sri Krishna
Caitanya, Who is the source of all existence:

kibā vipra, kibā nyāsī, śūdra kene naya
yei kṛṣṇa-tattva-vettā, sei ‘guru’ haya

“Whether one is a brāhmaṇa, a sannyāsī or a śūdra—regardless of what he is—he can become a spiritual master if he knows the science of Krishna.” (Sri Caitanya Caritamrita, Madhya Lila 8, Text 128)

Thus the bona fide guru is the devotee of Krishna who teaches us how to become the devotees of Krishna.

Question: Best Yoga Advice?

What’s the best yoga advice you would give someone?

Atul Patel

Answer: Embrace Bhakti, the Yoga of Devotion

From: Solferino, Mauritius
My dear Atul,
Please accept my blessings.
The best yoga advice I can give to everyone is to embrace the actual goal of yoga, which is liberation from the cycle of birth and death, achieved through the authorized system of bhakti yoga, devotional yoga. Physical health is only a secondary bi-product of yoga, and no matter how healthy one may become by doing sitting postures and breathing exercises he will still eventually and inevitably get sick, get old, and die. This is why I and all the great spiritual masters throughout history recommend to everyone to practice bhakti yoga, the yoga of devotion, which is described as the highest yoga by the master of all yoga, Yogesvara, Lord Sri Krishna in the Bhagavad-gita, Chapter 6. Text 47:

yoginām api sarveṣāṁ
mad-gatenāntarātmanā
śraddhāvān bhajate yo māṁ
sa me yuktatamo mataḥ

“Of all yogis, the one who with great faith always abides in Me, thinks of Me within himself, and renders transcendental loving service to Me is the most intimately united with Me in yoga and is the highest of all. That is My opinion.”

I am a master of the bhakti yoga system. I give free training to all those who inquire from me. I recommend that you should join my free e-course at: www.JoinCourse.com

I hope this meets you in an ecstatic mood.
Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
