Krishna​​​​​​​ Rescued Us Twice

On 19 June when we went to the Kuala Lumpur airport to check in for our flight to Melbourne, Australia the Cathay Pacific agent would not check us in because we did not have an Australian visa for Gurumata. I immediately went online to get one. It was 7:30am and we had until 9:00am for the electronic visa to come through so we could make our flight. But the reply came back that there would be at least 24 hours before we would get the visa. So we were stuck in a real dilemma as I was scheduled to do a concert in Australia just after my arrival. We were hoping that maybe by Krishna's grace the visa would come by 9am anyway. But it did not. When we spoke with an airline agent he informed us that when one applies for a visa through a re-seller, which is unknowingly what I did, it takes 24 hours. But if one applies directly with the Australian government it is instant. So then and there I applied with the Australian government directly and immediately got her visa. But by this time it was too late. We had missed our flight. But by Krishna's grace the agent was able to rebook us on the next flight, which would still make it in time to catch our connecting flight to Melbourne in Hong Kong.

But then after that ordeal in the Kuala Lumpur airport our flight to Hong Kong was late and we mixed the connection with our flight to Melbourne. Fortunately, by Krishna's grace there was space still available on the next flight. So Cathay Pacific rebooked us on that flight. What an amazing day it was for us to feel totally dependent on Lord Krishna!

This reminds us of how Krishna says in the Bhagavad-gita 9.22 that for those who always worship Him with exclusive devotion, meditating on HIs transcendental form -- to them He carries what they lack, and preserves what they have. We experienced first hand how true this is indeed.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Who is this Krishna?

Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
