The Whole World Can Become Peaceful and Happy

Srila Prabhupada has so mercifully given us the perfect formula, surrender to Krishna, by which the entire world can become peaceful and happy. Therefore on his order and out of compassion upon the poor suffering souls of this age, it is our duty to enlighten the world population in the science of Krishna consciousness. Somehow or other we must induce them to give serious attention to understanding and then to fully implement the teachings of Lord Krishna. If they can do so, a wondrous golden age of peace, prosperity, truthfulness, and unparalleled happiness will dawn upon this greatly beleaguered and troubled planet.

Answer: Engage Your Senses in Krishna's Service

How to satisfy Krishna is described in the following verse from the Nārada-pañcarātra:

hṛṣīkeṇa hṛṣīkeśa-sevanaṁ bhaktir ucyate

"Bhakti, or devotional service, means engaging all our senses in the service of the Lord, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the master of all the senses.”

So you should engage you tongue in tasting prasadam and as much as possible always chanting Hare Krishna and glorifying His transcendental, name, form, pastimes, teachings, entourage, and paraphernalia. You should engage you ears in always hearing his glories. Engage your body in practical devotional activities such as going to the temple and engaging in preaching activities for the Krishnaization of our present totally lost material society. Engage your mind in always thinking about Krishna. Engage your eyes in seeing the deity of the Lord and in reading the scriptures such as the Bhagavad-gita and the Srimad Bhagavatam.

In this way by fully engaging your senses in Krishna's service you will become fully pleasing to the Lord and fully qualified to enter into His unlimitedly ecstatic transcendental abode at the time of death you leave your present material body.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
