Just Be Yourself

All we are really saying is, "Just be yourself." Be your actual self, the eternal spiritual being who is dwelling within the heart of the physical body as the driver. If I told you to be your car, could you do that? Of course not! Similarly it is not possible for you to be your body. It is a just a physical machine that you are manipulating to go here and there and do this and that. The reason the world is presently such a screwed up mess is everybody is trying to be happy by satisfying the senses of their material body. They are neglecting the self within. Therefore it is time now for a vast, all-encompassing spiritual revolution to train everyone how to simply be themselves. In due course of time the world will wake up and heed our message. Indeed it will come to pass in the future that historians will note how at this time in history the Krishna consciousness movement totally transformed the world.

Question: Okay to Be Attached to Devotees?

Please accept my humble obeisances.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

This is the question that confuses me every time while having devotees as my friends. I can understand that Lord Krishna is the only enjoyer of this entire creation, but what happens when neophyte devotees on earth becomes best friends of each other? Is it okay? The Nectar of Instruction mentions loving exchanges between devotees, but what kind of relationship between them is not mentioned. In making devotee friends Krishna will be in the center always. But attachments would be there, like if one is not present then another may miss him. So should this attachment be there or not? Or do we have to see every soul equally without being in any kind of attachment?

Thank you.

At your service,
Rishi

Answer: Krishna Says It Is Required

Becoming attached to Krishna’s devotees is a great blessing and is required. In this regard Krishna tells Arjuna that His devotees are not His
devotees. He says that only those who are the devotees of His devotees are His real devotees.
