Injecting Consciousness into the Dull Brains of the Present Day Materialistic Society

George Harrison accomplished something really wonderful when he popularized Krishna consciousness through his number one hit sing, "My Sweet Lord." Since I was a popular singer/songwriter before becoming a devotee of Krishna I thought to also try spreading Krishna consciousness throught the medium of popular music. My album "Our Sweet Lord," which can be heard at www.TurnOnTheWorld.com, is gaining popularity in the material world. Srila Prabhupada has written the following words in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam Canto 1, Chapter 5, Text 16:

Devotional service is dynamic activity, and the expert devotees can find out competent means to inject it into the dull brains of the materialistic population. Such transcendental activities of the devotees for the service of the Lord can bring a new order of life to the foolish society of materialistic men. Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and His subsequent followers exhibited expert dexterity in this connection. By following the same method, one can bring the materialistic men of this age of quarrel into order for peaceful life and transcendental realization."

Although I certainly do not consider myself to be an expert devotee, I am praying that somehow by the grace of guru and Krishna that I can be successful in injecting Krishna consciousness into the dull brains of the present day materialistic society.

Question: Proof that Krishna is the Supreme?

​​​​​​​While preaching we face lots of questions like all Upanishads glorify their god as the supreme. Where in the Vedas do we find that Krishna is the Supreme and others are His subordinates? Please give some quotes. It will help to convince both myself and others.

Please do not give quotes of the Bhagavad-gita, Srimad-Bhagavatam, Brahma-samhita, or any sattvic Upanishads.

Answer: The Proof of the Pudding Is In the Eating

If you cannot accept as authoritative the words of God Himself when He speaks, you are hopelessly lost. If God Himself is not an authoritative source of information, who can we trust? The proof of the Gita is that by following it, you will realize God, just as innumerable saints and sages have done throughout the ages.

If you don’t believe it, I challenge you to try it. The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
