The Perfection of Sense Gratification

Even though one may fully absorb himself in material sense gratification his senses will still never become fully satisfied. Krishna declares in the Bhagavad-gita that the senses are never satisfied and they burin like fire. However, if one will engage his senses in the service of the master of the senses Hrisikesha, Krishna, his senses will become fully satisfied. So why waste time engaging oneself in material sense gratification? It is better to engage the senses fully in Krishna's service and thus become fully peaceful and satisfied. This is real intelligence.

Question: How to Get Taste from Chanting Hare Krishna?

I wrote to you some time back regarding how to read Srila Prabhupada books, and you recommended me to read in a systematic manner and make a summary of chapter, and it was really helpful, at least I could get the main message.

Can you also please help me with the chanting, I find it really difficult to chant even 2 rounds, and experience nothing after chanting. So how to experience taste and reach a level of 16 rounds quickly.

Please help.

Answer: Follow Lord Caitanya's Instruction

One trick for getting to 16 rounds quickly is to not take prasadam every day until your rounds are finished.

Lord Caitanya has revealed the secret for getting taste from chanting in the following prayer:

"One should chant the holy name of the Lord in a humble state of mind, thinking oneself lower than the straw in the street; one should be more tolerant than a tree, devoid of all sense of false prestige, and ready to offer all respect to others. In such a state of mind one can chant the holy name of the Lord constantly."
