Question: Criticism Against ISKCON

Thank you so much for taking up your time to answer the queries that were bugging me since a long time. This is so amazing. And I am still working out to understand this beautiful philosophy.

As I am trying to understand more from your movement, I come across many articles and videos criticizing the devotees and guru's. And, this is distracting me a lot and dragging me into the ocean of doubts. This must be a serious concern for this generation of your followers in this movement. The articles on one website have so many criticism about most of the disciples of Srila Prabhupada.

Why there are so many criticism within this movement? Please give a practical message for this generation of devotees as to what they should do to not get distracted.

And, another question: Sometimes, it looks like we are all going thru tremendous punishment for leaving Krishna though we chose this situation. But why Lord has made the creation so complex that it looks very difficult for us to spiritualize our consciousness due to unsteady mind and material allurements?

Thank you,
Karthick

Answer: The Dogs Will Bark, But the Caravan Will Pass

Narottama Das Thakur teaches us that we should always be in the mood of worshipping the devotees. Thus those who adopt the mood of criticizing the devotees are not part of our movement. In this regard Srila Prabhupada quotes a Bengali saying, “The dogs will bark, but the caravan will pass.” Those foolish souls who criticize instead of worshipping the devotees are like barking dogs. They will go on barking and barking. But in spite of their barking, Srila Prabhupada’s most glorious movement will continue growing, becoming more and more prominent, until that glorious day when it leads the entire world out of chaos.

This material creation is Krishna’s perfect arrangement to heal us from our twisted mentality of trying to be the Lords of all we survey and bring us back to our original consciousness of pure love for Him as soon as possible.
