The Necessity of Initiation

Srila Prabhupada states as follows in his book, The Nectar of Devotion:

"This relationship with Krishna is established by connecting oneself with the bona fide spiritual master who is the direct representative of Krishna in disciplic succession. The connection with the spiritual master is called initiation. From the date of initiation by the spiritual master, the connection between Krishna and a person cultivating Krishna consciousness is established. Without initiation by a bona fide spiritual master, the actual connection with Krishna consciousness is never performed."

Therefore it gives us great happiness when we see sincere souls coming forward to accept initiation as took place here in Kaunas on Saturday 6 May 2017.

Thank you for your videos without which I can see no more light. I am presently unsure about the next step. I am in so much in anxiety because I just lost my job. I am 54 now with no job. I am feeling very lost. Pleasure guide me. What should I do?.

Answer: Awaken Your Pure Love for God

Do not be in anxiety about your livelihood. Krishna will not let you starve. Something will manifest to cover your material necessities. If you will instead focus your life on reviving the pure love of God, which is presently sleeping within your heart, you will enter into a world of unlimited peace and happiness.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
