Without Krishna's Love What Would Life Be

Without Krishna's love life would be a meaningless void. In fact because Krishna is the ultimate source of everything life would not exist at all if it were not for Him. Everything beautiful and wonderful that exists is all due to the boundlessly sweet love of Krishna. The only reason that sometimes things appear ugly and miserable is that we forget Krishna. Therefore instead of forgetting this glorious Krishna we should take all of this pure love that is coming from Krishna and offer it back to Him. What do we have of our own to offer this person who owns everything? Nothing, really. Even the very love we feel in our hearts is nothing but a tiny particle of His fathomless ocean of love. So what we can we do? Just as we can take a small mirror and beam by reflection the sunlight back to the sun, all we can do is give back to Krishna whatever is already His. In this way we will be liberated from our debilitating thief mentality and our hearts will melt in the transcendental bliss of Krishna prema, pure love of God.

The average number of years a person spends in this material world before going back to Godhead is infinite. Every soul here in this material world has been here so long that it is not possible to calculate how long he has been here.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
