Slavery is Not Freedom

In the prison of this material world many people speak of freedom without knowing what freedom really means. They imagine that all kinds of things are freedom. For example, they say that the right to vote is freedom. They say that the right to travel anywhere is freedom. Or they say that the right to murder their baby by abortion is freedom. Their freedom is only being able to act in a less restricted within this prison. It is not real freedom. Real freedom means to be liberated from the chains of birth, death, old age, and disease. But the mass population is so deluded by the material energy that they consider the idea of escaping this material to be the crazy dream of a lunatic. Thus their freedom is nothing but slavery.

Question: If We Go Vegetarian, Will We Be Overrun With Animals?

When I tell many of my friends who are non vegetarian that eating meat is not recommended in the scriptures they say that if we do not eat meat, the food chain will be disturbed and there will be so many animals on this earth that we will not have any space to live. Please tell me the answer so that I may convince them it is not good for them to eat meat.

Answer: The World Will Become Peaceful and Happy

Their argument is not valid. Farmed animals are not allowed to reproduce naturally, and farmers only breed animals when they can make a profit out of doing so. If the demand for meat goes down over time, fewer and fewer animals will be bred. This means that we will not be overrun by millions of farmed animals, as your friends are foolishly speculating. 

The proof is that in former pious times when the majority of the people on this planet were vegetarians the animals did not overrun the planet. Such arguments are the crooked logic of those who are addicted to the taste of blood and flesh and want to justify their sinful diet. As long as they are attached to such demoniac tastes their polluted brains will not be able to understand this simple point. They will imagine that the majority of the people even in previous more pious ages such as the Satya yuga, Treta yuga, and Dvapara yuga were rascal meat eaters just like them.

When the human population becomes free from the sinful karma of murdering animals and reconnects with that person who is the source of everything, there will be the dawning of a new age of peace and prosperity for all. May that day come soon.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee.
